FOURTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT RACE IS A DEAD HEAT

GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 9, 2024) – The Adam Morgan for Congress campaign today announced the completion of an internal poll showing the Republican congressional primary race between State Representative Adam Morgan and three-term incumbent Congressman William Timmons to be a statistical dead heat. The survey of likely Republican primary election voters was conducted May 6-7, 2024, and has a margin of error of 5.65%.

In the head-to-head matchup, Timmons leads 37% to Morgan’s 33% with a huge 30% of likely Republican voters undecided. Timmons’ lead is within the margin of error. The poll showed net favorability for Adam Morgan at +27% and William Timmons at +16%, a poor sign for an incumbent against a relatively new challenger.

“We will continue to spread our message of bold conservative leadership while contrasting it with my opponent’s lack of leadership on fiscal issues and his attempt to look tough on the border while voting to provide welfare for illegal aliens,” said State Representative and Republican congressional candidate Adam Morgan. “The voters of the Fourth Congressional District deserve a congressman who has moral clarity and will fight in Congress for the conservative values we hold dear in Greenville and Spartanburg.”

Additionally, the House Freedom Fund endorsed Morgan’s congressional bid yesterday while the American Principles Project PAC filed a notice with the Federal Election Commission confirming a $254,000 digital ad buy supporting Morgan’s candidacy while highlighting Timmons support of diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

Morgan has been endorsed by Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis and nine members of Congress including Dan Bishop (R-NC), Josh Brecheen (R-OK), Andrew Clyde (R-GA), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), House Freedom Caucus Chair Bob Good (R-VA), Congressional Family Caucus Chair Mary Miller (R-IL), Ralph Norman (R-SC) and Scott Perry (R-PA). A full list of Morgan’s endorsements is on the campaign’s website
